Normally when it's quiet a nervous feeling rushes through my body. Imagine my relief to find the quiet was caused by this:

This boy cracks us up with the cute things he says.
A: Where is Daddy?
H: Dad is at work.
A: Why?
H: So he can earn money for our family.
A: So he can buy me toys?
H: Yes, so he can buy you toys.
A: Mommy, I don't need any more toys.

So "according to Athen" he has enough toys. Good to know.

The ER

Our family experienced our first run to the emergency room today after Athen and the foot of our ottoman had a meeting. His cut required 3 stitches. The doctor and nurses had their work cut out for them. It took wrapping Athen in a blanket having one nurse hold his head, one holding his legs, and dad holding his shoulders. Other nurses said they could hear him crying down the hallway. Through his screaming Athen cried,"Dad, you owe me!"

Even during serious moments he still makes us laugh.

Lately I've been taking family pictures for some friends. Athen has accompanied me and told me today that I needed to take his picture. So we got him dressed and did just that.

A Halloween Party

We had a small Halloween dinner party with some close friends of ours. We enjoyed, soup, salad, rolls, and some of Kate's fancy desserts. I was able to snap a few pictures in between holding the babe, playing games, and enjoying our company.

The Pumpkin Patch

Our annual outing to the Country Mercantile for pumpkins was a blast as always. We enjoyed delicious food, fun tractor rides, animals, hay bales mazes, pyramids and more.

"Do The Puyallup"

This year our family of four enjoyed our annual outing with the Dormans to the Puyallup Fair. We had an entertaining time enjoying the animals, food, & rides. This year was definitely an experience for Athen.

As we entered the barn to see the cows we heard a loud scream. It was Athen. We thought maybe the stroller or his cousin Jackson had pinched him. Nope, he was terrified of the cows, he jumped out of the stroller into Tim's arm screaming to leave... We calmed him down and then he really enjoyed the animals.

half way around the first time he lost it and cried the rest of the ride. Is it sad to say that he had all the adults in an uproar of laughter from the expressions on his face?

Athen sure enjoyed the Giant Slide and climbed all 100 stairs to the top himself.
