walks. yahtzee. oh so much yummy food. more than I should have eaten. turkey tummy filled naps. shopping. lovely visits. zumba.

Athenisms

After reading a scripture on love:
H: So Athen who should we love?
A: Mom, Dad, Jesus, + Santa Claus

G: I've got these drum sticks, boneless skinless.
A: I want some bum-chicks for dinner!

H: Athen what are you doing?
A: Anything! (meaning nothing)

When picking out some new flip flops for summer Athen saw a pair of blue and red ones with white stars and stripes...
A: I want those "Grand Old Flag" ones Mom!

Book of Mormon Stories: "give this land, give this me, righteous me!"

having visitors is always a highlight, especially when the visitor is one special grandma

Happy Halloween

Around here Halloween is a big deal. The Harris boys will tell you Halloween is his favorite holiday. In their opinion the decorations definitely trump Christmas. Halloween night is so exciting they start out even before it gets dark + energized to trick or treat every house in the neighborhood.

Alice in Horror Land

My Aunt Lisa + Uncle Cory throw one of the biggest annual Halloween parties around. I have fond memories of dressing up as a little girl, taking a hay bale ride, eating yummy food, and avoiding the not so scary, but scary to me spook alley. It has been years since I had the chance to attend, so this year I packed up the kiddos and took a trip. This years theme was Alice in Horror Land.

Molly has an obsession with stuffed animals, when she spotted this  cat on a table she went crazy!

Preschool + Pumpkins

A.B's preschool took a field trip to a local pumpkin patch.

Intently he watched + listened as the process of how a pumpkin grows was taught to him.

Athen + Jace :: in search for the perfect pumpkin

 After 10 minutes of turning down every pumpkin mom suggested,  he pick a small yellow pumpkin.

The smallest one in the bunch.

But that pumpkin made this boy smile.

traditional october

An annual outing to the local Country Mercantile.
My baby girl, last year stroller bound, this year eyes wide with aw + a mouth smiling from cheek to cheek.
My big boy, remembering the tradition 4 years running, knowing exactly what to do + having a total blast.
Mr. H, in search for the perfect pumpkin.

Playdate

Four silly boys came to play. They are goofy boys.

They have lots of energy + imagination.

Many crazy faces were made. Snacks were eaten. 

The hose was turned on. Clothes were stripped off. Who knows why.

Swings were swung. Trucks were drove + a slide was slid on.
