Athen Update

Athen is just about to reach his three month mark and is bringing much joy and laughter to our family.


Dad gave Athen a wig in the bath tub. I guess dad didn't think he has enough hair!


Good friends Derek and Amy, brought Charolette over to play with Athen for the first time. You probably wouldn't guess but Charolette is a whole month older than Athen. She was premature 2 months. But they were buddies in the Special Care Nursery for a couple of days.


Lately Athen's favorite thing has been his surprise blowouts. This one was the biggest of all. He kept crying and crying in the car, we could not figure out what was wrong, then I looked down at my shirt and saw the mark of my little man, right through the diaper, 2 onesies, overalls, onto my shirt and the carseat. You gotta love him!

My cousin and me....

Athen made his first trip to Washington this week to meet his Aunt Emily, Uncle Brandon, and notorious cousin Sam. Sam loved Athen so much that he could hardly stand waiting until Athen woke up from his naps, and in the morning, would ask his mom, "Is Baby Athen awake yet?"

Athen's Blessing

Athen was blessed on Sunday the 13th of April. There to participate in his blessing were both Grandpa Rogers, Uncle Taft and Uncle Steve, and good friends Tom and Ben. In the blessing Athen was blessed to be a great missionary, have the spirit in his life and to have the gift of discernment. It was a wonderful experience for Tim to bless his first son and the spirit was very strong as many wonderful men placed their hands on my tiny little boy to give him a name and a blessing.

Athen In Real LIfe

First time...

Grandma Dorman is in town again for a two week visit. It is great to have her help and Athen enjoys all their adventures together. Now that he is 6 weeks old, grandma took him out to embark upon his first walk in the stroller and his first visit to the mall.

Here we passed by Borders book store in the mall and my oldest brother Brandon's illistration for the third Fablehaven book was right there for everyone to see. It is exciting, everywhere we go we see his illistrations for the numerous books he has done! We are so proud of him and like to bragg. Peek-A-Boo

We caught Athen just the other day, peeking up from the blanket he was tucked in with in his car seat and thought it was just too darn cute. For some reason no matter how tight we wrap him he always wiggles his was out so that he can grap the top of his blanket. When he is sleeping on us he always as a hold of our shirt, and it is always with his right hand. Funny boy.

The relief society in the ward had some family's bring us dinner one week and so we took Athen, all bundled up and cozy in his baby bjorn for a walk as we returned all their dishes. He loved it, he fell alseep against daddy's chest and was a perfect angle.
