Chocolate Preview...

Just little preview of some desserts that will be served at our Chocolate Recipe Exchange tonight...carmel & chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered macaroons, strawberries, chocolate covered bacon, and nanamo Bars.

I was put in charge of an extra curricular enrichment group for my ward called Ladies Night Out. We get together once a month to do some fun and different things away from all the stresses of everyday life. Last month we had a Bingo night and tomorrow night we are having an everything Chocolate recipe exchange. So I just wanted to remind all those Pasco 9th ward members and any other ladies in the area to come to my house Tuesday night at 7:00 with a chocolate dish to share and one copy of the recipe. The more the Merrier!

Our new addition...

We have a new resident at our address. This cat, I call him "the annoying cat that won't leave," does just that. Follows us on our walks, sits outside on our porch, and tries to sneak in anytime we open the front door. I'm not much of a pet person but Athen gets so excited when he sees the cat that our family is starting to get attached.

Puddin'

Athen helped Tim make a pudding the other night. Tim loves pudding, and it looks like Athen does too.

Athen was down for a little over a week due to fever, throwing up, colds, and an ear infection. He is now back to his normal mischievous self... Lately we have found him...

1. Pulling all my tupperware out of the cupboards (okay that is normal)

2. Dialing 911 on our cell phones (not funny Athen)

3. After a shower before a diaper, running off, pooping in his room and then eating it. (come on Athen, sooo gross!)

4. Pulling stuff out of the garbage (gross, but not as bad as #3)

1 Year Old.

Dear Athen Bitner,

My sweet little boy, today you turn 1 year old! How the time has gone so fast. It feels like yesterday that I held you for the first time. You have grown so big and have made your mom so very happy! Your fun smile and cute giggles bring the sunshine into our home. Your little body with all its energy has brought excitement to our lives. I love you. You are a special boy and I am blessed to be your mother.
