A Birthday.

She turned 3. She is beautiful. I think she has the cutest pudgy nose that I've ever seen and the craziest of hair. She is happy. She loves everything pink + girly. Princesses, dress up, cooking and more.
I so vividly remember welcoming her to this world and holding her for the first time. My mamma heart overjoyed. Together we play hide + seek, memory, paint nails, talk about fairies, sing songs, and dance.
She is sweet but has more than enough spunk. That spunk gets her into trouble.
She will do great things and be an amazing woman. She is mine and I love her.

Sister.

I always dreamed of having a sister. Over the years I adopted close friends and sister-in-laws who have played the role better than I could imagine. But deep inside my heart didn't want Molly to miss out on the experience and bond that I assume comes with a sister. So my momma heart filled with happiness when we knew we would welcome Abby.
Best friends I hope they will be. Confidants. They will play pretend + dress up, talk about boys, trade clothes, giggle, teach each other about make up. I'm sure there will be fights + tears, but my heart dreams that they will be there for each other all of their life. The two of them, both with big blue eyes.

Documenting.

A first for Molly. A week long stay by herself with Grandma + Grandpa. Of course she had all kinds of fun, but my momma heart missed that blonde hair little girl like crazy. I couldn't walk in her room without feeling like a part of me was missing. I knew she was safe and taken care of, that she was experiencing wonderful adventure. But when they are gone they are always missed. When they are home they drive you crazy, but its true that distance makes the heart grow fonder.

I think she grew a little more in just that week. She came home and could recount every little adventure they had. Picnics, parks, swimming, walks, horses, cosmo, and more.

Baby Mine.

Abby Jane:
11 lbs
22 1/2 inches

This baby of mine is sweet. We are together all the time. night and day- day and night. She smiles and tries to laugh. We lock eyes as if we are searching each others souls. her's is so pure.
She still sleeps in my room her bed just a few feet from mine. I can't imagine not hearing her breath at night- but feel as if the crib is calling her name. I know once she's moved to the big girl room my she will grow up faster than I can imagine.
